![]() ![]() Easyriders will add to its event and major-label product collaborations.Įasyriders magazine and its new website launched January 2020. The niche monthly will transform to a quarterly publication expanding coverage to include travel, art, design, style, and entertainment, alongside its mainstay features on the movers and shakers of the moto world. In addition to the brand’s new iteration, Easyriders has revised and re imagined its celebrated print product as of January 2020. “We see endless opportunities to expand the Easyriders branded products to the apparel, lifestyle and home markets.” “I’m so proud and excited to introduce the iconic Easyriders brand to a new generation – and to expand this powerhouse label to partners worldwide through licensing our brand with likeminded partners,” said Pepper Foster, co-founder of the pioneering fashion label, Chip and Pepper. Under new leadership, Easyriders will expand the vision of what it means to be a motorcycle enthusiast in the 21st Century. Over five decades, the brand has become synonymous with a free-spirited lifestyle. “I’m building a really boutique company that can reposition or reset some beloved brands. The debut issue features Norman Reedus on the cover photographed by Brian Bowen Smith, supermodel Erin Wasson and the band Wild Belle.Įasyriders was established in 1970 as a platform for motorcycle enthusiasts to immerse in the rugged, on-the-road lifestyle championed by the counterculture movement and legends such as Steve McQueen, Peter Fonda, and Dennis Hopper. And more acquisitions of troubled but quality assets are likely, although Foster is not looking in the apparel space. If that wasn’t enough for a company that’s only a few months into new ownership, Foster, who seems naturally excitable, is already looking at TV deals for the brand. Easyriders is looking to host six events this year, which Foster foresees as a kind of “biker Coachella,” offering a mix of camping, riding and music performances. restaurateur and consultant known for the Roxbury and Pig & Whistle. There’s potential in an events business and Foster has hired Chris Breed, an L.A. And Easyriders new chief executive officer is Charles Perez, a veteran apparel manufacturer in L.A. Foster is already looking at licensing Mann’s work for socks and underwear and is thinking about other brands like Vans, a popular shoe for West Coast riders. But his goal isn’t to merely operate a niche quarterly magazine for the fun of it.įoster sees significant business potential in licensing the Easyriders name as well as the earlier art that appeared in the magazine, l like that of the late artist David Mann, who painted on the biker lifestyle. The magazine previously printed 600,000 copies a month. ![]() It sold out online in three days, Foster said. He printed 10,000 copies for the first 140-page issue (with no advertising pages), featuring actor Norman Reedus on the cover and a big spread with Erin Wasson inside. He was just in Italy, London and Japan, all with motorcycle cultures of their own, and was excited how many people he met there who knew Easyriders and thought well of it.įoster immediately decided to make the magazine a quarterly, upgrading everything from the photos and styling (his wife Vanessa is the creative director) to the paper stock and printing, and create a sense of scarcity with distribution. He said the magazine still has major brand recognition, globally, too. He also said his phone “has been ringing off the hook” lately with brands and companies (some “major”) calling to see how they may be able to work together, be it a collaboration or an advertising deal. A new web site is set to launch next month. The first thing was to overhaul Easyriders’ social media, and it’s already back up to almost 27,000 followers on Instagram and Foster said it’s growing by a few hundred a day now. This background color does not change on the mobile screen, see below. This because the background color/image just overwhelms the page. Problem above now increases because of a smaller pixel size and screen.įont size is fine, but harder to read because it looks more washed out. My suggestion above will fix that or make it better at least. Same problem, especially now the smaller text is very hard to see. Its screen is not the largest of smartphones, but fits in the average size used by most people. I am using a Sony Xperia Z1 Smartphone to view the site. ![]() This is where you can have more problems and the above issues increased because a mobile screen is much smaller, including it’s pixel size. Now having said the above about the desktop, that will determine how it translates into a mobile screen. A person on the site will just click out of your site really quick because of this error. You need to change the text color to white please. The text color is dark with the background and cannot be seen. Now comes the most horrible part, when typing in these boxes, I cannot even see the text at all. The changing of the background is from the parallax method that changes to another background on scroll.Ĭlicking the contact link on the mobile scrolls me to the contact form, but when I click into one of the field boxes, (name, email, comment area, etc) the background changes from white to dark taupe color. These are fixed backgrounds which allows the content to scroll over it. basically the background at the start is what causes the issue. You may have to change the background image. ![]() This color tool offers a large variety of abilities to test color combinations with text, get color matches etc. You can get an idea of color combinations using this tool: Proper color contrast will resolve that issue, use a different font that shows better and stay with Light color font over dark backgrounds. Since the background does change as a person scrolls, the color contrast does get a bit better, but the idea is to be better all the way through. Part of the issue here is the font you chose, it does not lay the best with the background color. Font color near the point of becoming harder to see or read, especially using the rose color for some text. ![]() This causes accessibility issues (how viewable is the page). This way you get all the components in the Logo and as a title which the site needs for Google ranking.īlend too much into each other, from the background to the elements over the background image. Such as placing the smaller font as “” element and place the logo around it somehow. ![]() This will hopefully overcome the washed out appearance of the rose color over the same background color because the logo is larger, but better is to get a different background and color and still make the logo larger and PNG as stated and test it.įor the smaller font in the Logo, figure a way to use it, but not in the logo. To fix this, make the logo larger, use larger font size for “Love Continues” and make it a PNG with a transparent background. The rose color will show poorly over the color background you used. If you make it a PNG with transparency, then there is a visibility issue because of the colors over the background. It is boxy, its just a JPG, with white background placed over a dark background and does make the site look unprofessional. I looked at it and here is my critique, both desktop appearance and mobile. I mentioned that because unless someone pays for better themes, the plug and play build designs are not too good and lack professional appearance. Let me guess, this website was done with something like Wix, but uses the WordPress framework? – It looks that way, a plug and play web build site. ![]() Only use 1.5T cylindrical-bore magnet, horizontal field-orientation MRI systems.
